It’s never a good idea to allow the glass to touch a photo in the frame. Moisture can easily condense inside the frame and adhere the glass to the photo. Acrylic will not.

We recommend acrylic glazing for pieces that will be displayed in the kid’s room and high traffic areas. It is also a better choice to keep the weight down on larger pieces.Acrylic is also beneficial when art needs to be shipped or will be carried to different events, etc. It is also almost perfectly clear, so there is no noticeable shift in the color of your images. Regular picture glass has a slightly blue-green tint.

Standard framing grade acrylic has superior UV blocking abilities than picture glass (about 60% better) and optional UV acrylic can block up to 97% of the harmful wavelengths of light that can cause your precious memories to fade in time.

Which is better, acrylic vs glass in frames? Although we offer both, many of our customers prefer one over the other and we believe there is a time and place […]

[215,76

post-1686","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-framing","category-tips

<meta name="description" content="Acrylic vs Glass in Frames Which is better, acrylic vs glass in frames?
