The color output settings saved in your image file determine which color space, rendering intent, and bit mode in which the file is saved. Our Epson D1070 photo printer requires the color output settings to be in the 8-bit, sRGB<\/b> color space.<\/p>\n
Our Canon Pro 4000 printer can use 8-bit, Adobe 1998, <\/b>or sRGB<\/b> for Studio Giclees. Output profile mismatches of these two spaces may produce unexpected results, so please submit your files in the appropriate space for the desired output type.<\/p>\n
We suggest \u201cPerceptual\u201d <\/i><\/b>as the rendering intent for both color spaces.<\/p>\n
sRGB <\/b>matches the working color space used in most computer monitors, except for a few very high-end units that can display images in Adobe 1998<\/b>. We suggest that your default working color space is set to sRGB for standard photo printing.<\/p>\n
Although files created in Adobe 1998 <\/b>can be converted to sRGB<\/b> when needed, this will only slow production time with no direct benefit.\u00a0 In ALL<\/b> cases, images must be submitted as 8-bit files.Monitor calibration is a vital component of the digital workflow and will figure prominently in how accurately your color output settings work.
